Family firm Raimón Bundó was founded four decades ago to bring the exacting techniques of haute couture to bridal wear. Based in Barcelona, its designs straddle a divide between elegance and audacity, in an approach which veteran designer Cristina Arana, in partnership with Ivonne Ruiz, has increasingly brought in line with the latest trends.
Raimon Bundó creations require many hours of painstaking craftsmanship to turn them into unique garments to be treasured, each with its own name. The meticulous selection of motifs and fabrics is apparent in the traditional Valencian brocade used in one of its latest collections, and in the Renaissance style illustrations on silk in its 2008 designs.
In addition to its almost a hundred exclusive points of sale in Spain, the company also sells to select retailers in Austria, Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland and the USA. Britain, Germany and Italy are its major international markets.
The brand is a top name in the Spanish bridal sector. Hence the key role played by its founder, Raimon Bundó, in the Noviaespaña bridal tradeshow, over which he presides.
