Designer María Malo created Mala Mujer five years ago in Tarifa. The little town in Cádiz is well known as a surfers’ paradise and the brand’s clothes are steeped in its way of life.

After years specialising in the design and sale of T-shirts, Mala Mujer broadened its horizons. Long skirts, street dresses, trousers, bomber jackets, coats, intimates and accessories, all in a bold style, are also now available. Mala Mujer’s fun, rebellious collections were initially aimed at a modern, young woman with an idealistic approach to life. In 2004, the company added Malo for men, Malote for boys and Mala Baby for girls.

The brand has its own shops in Tarifa, Granada, Valencia, Madrid and León, and 150 POS in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Its mid-term aim is to stick to its T-shirt fetish to communicate its message, but to go on adding to a range of clothes that are also suitable for the colder months.
