Mamatayoe began its foray in the fashion world at the beginning of nineties. The success of its collections made the brand grow in Spain and, shortly thereafter, on the European and international stage. Despite this, Mamatayoe has never lost its spirit of being a cheerful brand which reflects different cultures and their surroundings, a colourful and original well-balanced mixture between history and nature, a home environment and the world landscape.
At the head of the team is Cris González, who has been setting the trends at Mamatayoe since its beginnings. She is supported by a team of professionals who work every season on the details of the collection with the care of authentic artisans and with the artistic quality of polished, original design.
Each season, collections are inspired by the histories of six friends from different cultures. They tell us about their child memories, their neighbourhood, dream travels or they introduce us in the wonderful world of flowers, perfumes or wines... All the prints, embroidery, and motifs are created from scratch by the design department, thus achieving an originality and unique exclusivity that make Mamatayoe an original and different brand.
Mamatayoe’s main markets are currently France, Spain, Portugal and Italy; with a presence in other countries like Japan, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, among others. Its points of sale are the fruit of a careful selection process, attending to Mamatayoe's quality and originality criteria.
Mamatayoe presents its collections in leading world fashion events like Pure London, Prêt à Porter Paris, SIMM Madrid and Big Sight Fashion in Tokyo, among others.
The brand is currently experiencing a moment of international growth, with exports accounting for more than 60% of business, remaining faithful to a policy of quality production with design and manufacture in its own facilities.
