Aura Chavarria and Elena Maggi began their careers working under Josep Font, who has undoubtedly influenced Comentrigo’s romantic, dreamlike creations. Intensely feminine and with a vintage feel, their designs are made from the most delicate materials.
The Comentrigo brand was created in February 2005 and won Best New Designer at ModaFad Barcelona. But it was at Ego Cibeles in February 2006 that the two designers first won national acclaim. Their collections have since appeared twice at the Barcelona Catwalk, in July 2006 and January 2007.
Outside the official fashion circuit, Comentrigo has taken part in projects which create a dialogue between fashion and related activities, like Changingroom. It is also featured in the book Young Fashion Design, produced by cutting-edge publisher Taschen. In 2007, it created an exclusive range of T-shirts for the multidisciplinary project Fresh from the Lab.
In Spain, its collections are sold in Barcelona (Zsu Zsa, In-Usual, Dou16showroom), Leon (Horus) and Salamanca (Monna).
