    Coronel Tapiocca´s interview

    Coronel Tapiocca was founded in 1989, based on an original philosophy. The aim was to design for nature-lovers, with a spirit of adventure and a taste for the unknown. Since then, the group has come a long way. Now, with its head offices in Madrid, it has successfully consolidated its unique positioning in Spain and Europe, specialising in travel, leisure and outdoor wear and accessories.

    The products on sale at Coronel Tapiocca are defined by comfort and practicality. Natural fabrics like cotton predominate in its streetwear, whilst tough-wearing, stain- and wrinkle-resistant new-age materials are used in its adventure garb. Every collection has a full range of accessories including belts, caps, socks, watches, eyewear, intimates, fashion jewellery and footwear, in addition to orientation, lighting, survival and safety devices.

    Coronel Tapiocca shops reflect its signature themes of adventure and the great outdoors, exhibiting reproductions of original artefacts from far-off places like Papua New Guinea, Easter Island, the Ivory Coast and Morocco. Coronel Tapiocca is strongly committed to environmental protection and is involved in numerous wildlife projects involving the rehabilitation of autochthonous species. It supports many NGOs with a view to promoting cultural understanding. Its annual turnover now exceeds €50 mill.

    Coronel Tapiocca now has 160 shops all over Spain, Portugal and Italy, and is considering further expansion into other markets, including Belgium and the Middle East. In the last year, the brand has successfully positoned itself in locations popular with travel and outdoor enthusiasts, setting up special counters in travel agencies, hotels, camping sites, picturesque rural villages and in the vicinity of areas of outstanding natural beauty.
