Italian fashion jewellery and accessory designer Laura Bartolani studied at the School of Translation and Interpretation in Geneva in Switzerland. But after a chance encounter with the Giorgio Armani team, she took up residence in Milan where she worked for Armani, Versace, Anna Molinari and Dolce & Gabbana, until she decided to take the plunge and set up her own company.
In the early Nineties, she developed her first collection of jewellery, bags, hats and scarves, which she made from original items from the Twenties. The collection, which was given the name “Laura B Collection Particulière”, met with huge acclaim in a select market segment and was praised by the specialist press.
In 1995, Laura moved to Barcelona where she continued to add new international clients to her growing portfolio. In 2003, the Laura B universe was extended with the launch of a men’s collection which included everything from imaginative bow-ties to jewel ties and travel bags.
Laura B’s favourite material for jewellery and accessories is metal mesh, combined with other elements like silver, chains, stones, leather and crocodile skin.
Laura B designs can be found in exclusive leading POS like 10 Corso Como in Milan, Barney’s in Tokyo and New York, L’Eclaireur in Paris, Brown’s and Liberty’s in London and Maxfield in Los Angeles. Orders can also be placed online at the brand website.
