Pilar Dalbat is a women’s accessories brand which combines craftsmanship with a contemporary style, using traditional techniques and couture. Pilar Torrecillas Jiménez is the name behind it.

After a long and inspiring trip across South East Asia, Pilar, a self-taught designer with a restless spirit, returned to Spain in 1998. Three years later, the experience resulted in her first accessories: a bag collection known as “Meeting Point”, plus belts and shawls under the Dal Bat label, launched in early 2002.

Next came ready-to-wear. Colour explosions and form symbolism born of the magic of Asian culture and an approach to fashion as a vehicle to express emotions became the Pilar Dalbat signature theme. As well as clothes, including dresses that create sculptural silhouettes in vibrant colours, Dalbat also makes leather bags in practical designs in daytime materials and stylish creations for special occasions. It also has a line in T-shirts with arty prints and appliqué which reflects the designer’s artistic leanings.

Since it was created, its global ambitions have known no bounds. It now has 20 POS in France, Italy, Japan and the Middle East. In Spain, it has two standalones in Granada and is available from more than 100 multi-brand retailers. Its spectacular showroom at 17, San Isidro in Granada is the work of interior designer Antonio Jiménez, and has been awarded the prestigious Saloni prize.

Pilar Dalbat attends major tradeshows like Tranoï Carrousel du Louvre (Paris), Prêt-à-porter, Who’s Next, Bread & Butter and SIMM Madrid. Exports account for around 20% of output.
