Vintage romantic, Teresa Helbig.

Born in Barcelona, designer Teresa Helbig grew up surrounded by the luxury fabrics sewn by her mother at her couture studio. After years in window-dressing, her creativity, good taste and passion for fashion led her to launch her women’s debut collection, just over a decade ago.

Her creations combine ready-to-wear with couture, paying careful attention to detail and craftsmanship, right down to the last stitch, to produce the romantic looks and vintage cut that have become her hallmark. Passion, creativity, innovation and exquisiteness are the cornerstones of her unique creations.

With feminine, sophisticated and elegant silhouettes, she experiments with fabrics, combining gauze, tulle, beading, hand embroidery and patent leather with frills, bows and feathers.

At the Barcelona studio, which has become a trend-setting laboratory, the designer and her team create and produce every one of the garments that make up her two annual collections, which have appeared at the 080 catwalk in Barcelona and Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, where she was award the L’Oréal Prize for best spring/summer 2011 collection.

Other awards include the Marie Claire Prize for Best Newcomer Designer in 2009 and the Barcelona es Moda prize for best fashion professional 2009.
