  • PROFILE

Anna M. Nadal first graduated from the University of Barcelona with a degree in Fine Arts and then studied goldsmithery at Barcelona’s School of Applied Arts and Artistic Trades. A vocation for art and sculpture led her into jewellery design and in 1980, she set up her own studio

Anna M. Nadal’s gold and white-gold jewellery is designed like miniature sculptures. Inspired by nature, with multiple textures, these matt, deliberately imperfect shapes have a rough-hewn look quite distinctive from the more polished forms of conventional jewellery. Ethnic references blend with the traditional crafts of the tribes of Africa and Ancient Egypt in four key themes: plant, mineral, geometric and structural

The production and sale of Anna M. Nadal collections has focused primarily on the Spanish market. Her creations are now available from 18 points of sale all over the country, both at jewellers’ and art galleries. In recent years, the designer has embarked on global expansion, first targeting multi-brand jewellers’ in Paris and Rome and then cities in Germany and America

The designer takes part in international jewellery conventions including Inhorgenta Europe in Munich, Iberjoya in Madrid and Kara in Paris.
