Womenswear brand Kling draws on its roots in the Madrid district of Malasaña, a nerve centre of underground culture and “cool”. It started out designing T-shirts for friends, but, just five years down the road, its success with the press and local celebrities led to a complete fashion collection.

The result was four collections a year, created at a dizzy pace that helps Kling keep up with the latest trends and changing tastes of its fans. Each collection has three different lines: BASIC has simple patterns, DAILY experiments with textures and layering, while STYLE develops patterns in quality fabrics and designs virtually one-off garments.

Its new accessory collection includes bags, hats, shoes, as well as stockings, socks and leggings in colours and prints to match the style of each collection.

Kling has an unmistakeable retro style with a touch of hedonism, rich colours and prints and graceful but generous lines. The Kling formula, which is always applied, has helped consolidate the Spanish brand.

A pioneer of online sales, Kling also has standalones in Spain (5), France (1) and Ireland (1) and more than 400 POS in markets like Italy, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, Japan and Russia.

The company has a team of 15. Its exports account for about 60% of turnover and it is a regular at trade shows like Bread & Butter (Germany) and Mode Fabriek (Netherlands).
