    Interview with D-Due.

In 2003, after completing her fashion studies in Barcelona and Milan, Rosario Froján returned to the family textiles firm Confecciones MRF, based in Rianxo (A Coruña), to create her own womenswear brand, D-due.

Alfredo Olmedo joined the brand for the autumn-winter 2004/2005 collection, completing the brand’s creative duo. Together they developed the company’s second line, Es Marciana, which has now presented its second collection.

Since it exploded on to the fashion circuit, its architectural silhouettes, couture references and a tradition of exquisite craftsmanship, aligned with powerful graphics have created a contemporary sophistication, which is the crux of the D-due philosophy.

D-due is positioned as an alternative to the more “popular” luxury brands with its inspired, well-documented designs and the use of fabrics of exceptional quality and intricate (mainly hand) finish produced at its own factory.

D-due presents collections at exclusive fairs like Who's Next Paris, Rooms Tokyo, Antwerp Fashion Affair and Bread & Butter Berlin, which has enabled it to enter exclusive multi-brand boutiques from New York to China, as well as Kuwait, the UK, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Korea, Hong Kong and Tokyo. It has a workforce of 32 people and an export rate of 26.5%.

The company has standalones in A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vilagarcía (Pontevedra) with a carefully designed interior and innovative shop window displays.
