Autumn/Winter 2012/2013
In 1998 Agnès Ros and her husband Sebastià Lloret decided to create the Messcalino fashion brand in Igualada (Catalonia), one of Spain’s major textile-producing regions.
The brand, aimed at an active, modern woman, offers quality, comfortable clothes with an original design which combine textures, prints and perfect finish for elegant, highly personal garments.
As its founder says, every collection is about balance and an exquisite selection of the finest, natural raw materials in garments that bear the hallmarks of their designer.
With two collections a year, Messcalino operates on the Spanish market, where it has a network of eight standalones in Catalonia. It also has retail corners in more that 50 branches of “El Corte Inglés” department store and operates in more than 750 multi-brand shops.
The brand exports its collections to markets including the Netherlands, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Japan and Taiwan. The company has now embarked on a global growth plan that will take it to France and the UK.
Messcalino now presents collections at trade fairs such as Who’s Next in Paris, Pure in London and Madrid International Fashion Week (SIMM).
