In 1947, footwear manufacturer John Spencer, of English origin, founded Sancho Boots in Almansa (Albacete). The brand is exclusively devoted to the typical cowboy boot and is now a world force in the sector, with a concept that has successfully updated this traditional footwear in line with the latest trends.

Technique and expertise are one of the factors that have contributed to the brand’s success. With the Goodyear artisanal sewing system – which adapts the insole to the foot whilst insulating snugly from damp and heat – Sancho has created a quality product that is made to last. Its pure Far West spirit is updated in modern mode with deluxe materials that have become part of a contemporary tradition replete with the detail that is now part of the brand’s trademark.

Sancho Boots offers three lines: Western has authentic designs from the American West; Biker goes for the studs and buckles its name suggests in pure “Rebel without a Cause” style, while Camperas are high legged greased leather boots, perfect for a day’s riding.

From the outset, the company – now with a workforce of 180 – has had a global vocation. Today it has POS in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and the UK. It also has its own boutique at the factory which makes its 230,000 pairs of shoes a year. Sancho Boots has an export rate of 90%.

The company is a regular at top international footwear exhibitions like Modacalzado (Madrid), Micam (Milan) and GSD (Düsseldorf).
