    Interview with Francesc Adam.

    Based in Baix Llobregat (Barcelona), Montibello was created 42 years ago when its founder, entrepreneur Francesc Adam, decided to design a series of exclusive products to cater for the needs of beauticians. Today, these exclusive products are available at beauty and hair salons, and fly the brand’s colours of reliability, innovation and proximity.

    Montibello’s professional product ranges are based on the research it conducts in its own laboratories. It has two brands: Montibel·lo for hair products, and Montibello for face and body products.

    Montibello went global in 2006 and 7% of its turnover now comes from a select group of countries, including Greece, Chile, Mexico, UK, Belgium, Israel and Chipre. In these markets, it uses a similar style of distribution, preserving the exclusivity which characterises it in Spain.

    Montibello is the leading Spanish company in professional cosmetics. With 150 hair and beauty sales representatives, it has the country’s largest distribution network. It also has the highest level of market penetration in the sector, with 22,000 clients: 16,000 in hairdressing and 6,000 in beauty.

    It has premises covering more than 20,000 sq. m given over to research, design, control and logistics, with 300 employees. In addition to creating products for professionals, Montibello offers training at its Technical Centre, where courses on hair and beauty are available.

    The brand is a regular exhibitor at trade fairs like Cosmoprof Bolonia, Cosmoprof Hong Kong and Beauty World-Dubai.
