Interview with Marga Massanet and Jacobo Cobian.
Spanish fashion brand Masscob was founded in A Coruña in 2003 by young designers Marga Massanet and Jacobo Cobian, who trained in Spain, London and Los Ángeles. In the same year, they presented their first collection to wide acclaim in the trade press and opened their first shop in their native Galicia.
The Masscob woman is elegant, feminine, chic and romantic. Far from the following fashion, the brand has developed its own style, based on pure, comfortable lines achieved by original and elaborate pattern cut which allows the clothes to speak for themselves. Colours are neutral and timeless and fabrics first-rate quality, and are subject to continual scrutiny throughout the design process.
The brand currently sells at multi-brand retailers in Spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Abroad, it operates in Marseille, Copenhagen, Paris, St. Tropez, Vienna, Los Ángeles, New York, Tokyo and Seoul. It is also a regular at the Tranoï tradeshow in Paris.
