    The Spanish brand Barrio Santo started out in 2006, when Iñigo Aguirre and Iván Lozano launched an irreverent T-shirt collection in the provocative style which they were to make their own. Keen to break the conventional mould, the designer duo offered people chance to express their individuality through slogans and images where religion, sex and arms all had a part to play.

    From autumn-winter 06/07 onwards, Barrio Santo began to present complete collections which included trousers, sweatshirts, jumpers and bomber jackets in addition to the inevitable tee-shirts. Fine materials, a worn-look and thought-provoking messages were again the key to their bold, young, urban style. The company controls the whole design and manufacturing process from the purchase of thread right through to the production of their own clothing labels.

    Barrio Santo sells its designs in more than 50 multi-brand shops all over Spain, in cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao and Malaga. It has also been successful abroad, reaching countries like the USA, Britain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Greece, and has an online shop which sells all over the world.

    The brand is a regular at the Bread & Butter Barcelona tradeshow.
