After working with her creative partner Óscar Benito as Locking Shocking for ten years, Ana González has decided to go it alone as Ana Locking. The result is Reentry, her autumn-winter 2007 collection and the opera prima that won her the L´Oréal Prize at the February 2008 edition of Pasarela Cibeles.
Over the years, Locking Shocking was a huge success on the Cibeles Catwalk, where it featured first alongside other young design talents on the final day of the show and later as a solo show in its own right as part of the main event. It also received a number of awards, including the L´Oréal Prize for its Spring-Summer 2003 collection and the Prix Marie Claire in 2004. It worked in partnership with diverse brands, schools and institutions developing all manner of projects, from exhibitions to conferences and seminars.
The designer wants to build bridges between fashion and other artistic disciplines, in the true Locking Shocking style. This will continue to be one of the cornerstones of this latest stage in her career.
Ana Locking sells made-to-measure at her studio-workshop in Madrid. Her latest projects include the launch of two accessory lines a year and a small jewellery collection.
