Plastimoda was created in Mahon in Menorca in 1981. It makes fashion jewellery and fantasy accessories for kids. Its colourful nickel-free pendants, bracelets, adjustable rings and hairpins are made from resin and methacrylate, with very tough finishes. Its designs make use of similar materials to those found in “adult” jewellery, such as tiny appliqué reminiscent of Swarovski crystal.

With a workforce of 15, Plastimoda exports 46% of its turnover, mainly to the European market, where it sells directly to wholesalers. It has found a solid US distributor in Jelli Jewells, based in Florida.

Its original and creative girls’ and teenage accessories have won over diverse markets which the company has reached through tradeshows all over the world, including Macef and Quark Bijoux (Milan), Asia’s Fashion Jewellery (Hong Kong), Eurobijoux & Accessories (Mahón and Madrid) and Sebime (Madrid).
