Clara Bijoux was created in 1998 from a family firm with more than fifty years experience in the world of fashion jewellery. It is based in Ciudadela on the Balearic island of Menorca, one of the birthplaces of Spanish costume jewellery.
The company designs, makes and sells its own fashion jewellery collections. With a workforce of 23, its aim is to create a unique product combining quality and design.
The Clara Bijoux catalogue boasts complete collections of costume jewellery, key-rings, tie-pins, button-covers, pendants or bookmarks and is divided up into two very different lines. The first is classic high-end fashion jewellery and gift articles with handpainted brass items aimed at women over 25. It is sold in Japan, the USA, Australia, Eastern European countries and Russia. The second line includes up-to-the- minute fantasy jewellery aimed mainly at a young Spanish target.
The company exports 30% of its turnover. Its global growth is proving unstoppable, thanks to regular appearances at tradeshows like Macef and Quark (Milan), Eclat de Mode (Paris), Asia’s Fashion Jewellery (Hong Kong), Eurobijoux and the Spanish Fashion Jewellery Exhibition in Madrid.
