    After a few years designing shoes, Jesús Cánovas founded the company Quality Shoes S.L. in 1983. It was at this point that the initials JC were first stamped into elegant high-quality leather loafers, the firm’s star model. Both the shoe moulding system and the entire manufacturing process are subject to rigorous controls so that the end product is perfect.

    Jesús Cánovas makes shoes for men and women using traditional techniques, so that they are as comfortable as possible, hence his slogan Un zapato que mime el pie (a shoe that pampers the foot). His range of ladies’ shoes are traditionally crafted and decorated with Swarovsky crystals in a multitude of colours, making each pair an exclusive item. His shoes for gentleman are made from Galuchat (stingray) skin; the different granulations make each shoe truly unique – hence, there are no two the same – and give the end product a special shine.

    Ever since this company was founded, the classic, elegant and timeless style of Jesús Cánovas loafers has attracted famous actors and singers from all around the world, including Julio Iglesias who has unintentionally become the best ambassador for the brand, since he buys around 90 pairs of JC a year.

    The company exports around 25% of its total production to countries such as France, the UK, the US, Germany, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Portugal. The collections are only available at exclusive department stores.
