Rubio Kids was created in 2005 as the children’s fashion label of the emblematic firm Cuadernos Rubio. The label burst onto the market with its first collection in autumn-winter 2006/07, designed by Hortensia Maeso.

All the garments are manufactured entirely in Spain and are defined by the quality of the fabrics used and the rigorous control of the entire creative and manufacturing process. Rubio Kids offers urban style clothes with a touch of nostalgia. The designs, intended for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old, are influenced by current trends, but always incorporate little vintage details, such as bows, pleats or lace trim.

The firm’s collections are sold in Spain’s leading department stores. 10% of the company’s total sales figure corresponds to exports to countries such as Portugal and Italy, and the firm plans to expand further East, starting with the United Arab Emirates. Since the label was launched, Rubio Kids was first presented at the FIMI children’s fashion fair (Valencia) and plans to extend its participation to other international industry events, such as Pitti Bimbo (Florence).

In the immediate future, the firm plans to expand its collections to encompass a wider age range, launching a range for babies, along with another more casual collection and a third line aimed at young mums.
