    Interview with Alqvimia.

    El Taller de la Alqvimia is a high natural cosmetics Spanish brand created by Idili Lizcano in 1984 in Tortellá (Gerona). Its new lifestyle concept based on beauty, health and well-being effectively combines handicraft processes with new technologies and therefore feeds from sources such as aromatherapy, botany, perfumery and alchemy. Its products are divided into various lines according to the needs of each skin type and range from anti-ageing and depigmentation treatments for the skin to relaxation and stimulation treatments, and even a small line of products for children and babies.

    With a workforce of 50 employees, El Taller de la Alqvimia has points of sale all over Spain, with 40% of its sales coming from exports. It is present in countries such as Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, France, Mexico, Italy, the United Kingdom, Korea, Poland, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Germany, Latvia, Taiwan, Brazil and the Arab Emirates. It is currently entering new markets too, including Thailand, Greece, Australia, Canada and the United States.

    The company distributes its products in beauty centres, health resorts, hotels, luxury spas and specialised shops. It also has three of its own shops (called beauty spaces) in Madrid, Barcelona and Gerona.

    The company's natural philosophy has resulted in a commitment to the humanised economy and sustainable development. In fact its installations use environmentally-friendly ecological energy.
