Mimótica Micola, a Spanish brand specialised in bags, was founded in Barcelona in 2002. Raquel Micota, who used to watch her grandmother sew, includes fun messages in her designs and finds inspiration in Parisian style: innocent, elegant, casual, but daring at the same time. She caters to women between 15 and 35 years of age who, above all, seek to celebrate their femininity, always with a sense of humour. Her creations feature three different characters: Mimo, the angelic girl who is stylish and a bit vain; Mr. Pain, her absent-minded boyfriend; and Rudolf, her reindeer-dog.
Mimótica Micola’s bags, wallets and suitcases are distinguished by the meticulous care that goes into their making, both on the outside, thanks to top-quality fabrics and materials, as well as on the inside, where the details are treated with the utmost attention. The accessories line is rounded off with motorcycle helmets (with fun dots and illustrations) and, in the future, footwear.
Mimótica Micola accessories are sold online through its website, as well as in multi-brand shops in cities throughout Spain, such as A Coruña, Alicante, Barcelona, Madrid, Cadiz, Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza. It currently has 150 points-of-sale worldwide and is present in markets including Italy, France, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The brand participates in different sector fairs, including Bread & Butter (Barcelona), Prêt-à-porter (Paris), The Fashion Attraction (Singapore), GDS Premier (Dusseldorf) and the WSA Show (Las Vegas).
