Pilar Ruiz was born in Paris in March 1972. She has always taken a keen interest in the world of fashion and is now one of Spain’s most promising young designers.
She studied law before turning her hand to fashion design, following a series of courses in both France and Spain, and then making it her true vocation. She has been working in the trade ever since and in 2002, she launched her own label.
Pilar Ruiz has worked for a number of fashion companies including children’s wear specialist Mayoral, where she designed the girls’ prêt-à-porter collection for several seasons. She also trained at the Nina Ricci studio in Paris.
For the last few seasons, she has presented her collections at Circuit in Barcelona. She recently made her début at Milan Fashion Week, where she presented her Spring/Summer 2006 collection.
