Antonio López, current chairman of the Lorens Group, started manufacturing gentlemen’s shoes in 1972, creating Antonio López S.A. and selling his products under the Lorens label. The company, located in Almansa (Albacete), initially operated only in the Spanish market, but subsequently began to exhibit at international trade fairs to publicise the brand. Now the global market accounts for 80% of sales and its products are sold on all five continents. Its major export markets are the USA, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, the UK, China and Denmark.
In recent years, Antonio López S.A. has diversified into other segments and created a corporate group with turnover of more than €25 million and a workforce of more than 300. Technology, quality, design, finish and an aggressive marketing policy are the key to its success.
The company manufactures a wide range of products from more classical formal footwear to casual and sport. The shoes are handcrafted, but also make use of the latest technology and are aimed at a discerning customer with an eye for top-quality products.
