Romus is the brand name traded by Calzados Anatómicos Calana, which started out in Alicante in 1987, with a view to offering footwear quality and comfort.
Every shoe is carefully adjusted to the shape of the foot. These exclusive products combine a different design with first-rate materials, in close cooperation with the IBV (Biomechanics Institute of Valencia).
The high degree of comfort and practicality of the collections has always contributed to its international expansion, and the company already exports to more than 50 countries, including Austria, Germany, France, the USA, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium, Ecuador and the Netherlands. Its output exceeds 500,000 pairs a year, of which 70% are destined for international markets.
Romus is a regular at key international footwear fairs including The WSA Show in Las Vegas, Micam in Milan, GDS in Dusseldorf, Modacalzado in Madrid and OMK in Moscow. It is also an ecological pioneer, as one of the first companies to be awarded the ISO 14001 certificate for its environmental management system. This requires optimum use of raw materials and achieving a careful balance between business and the environment.
