Founded in 1978 in the location of Lalín in Galicia, Toypes produces women’s wear, footwear and accessories. The firm has expanded ever since and is now a top name in Spanish fashion. Its buoyant situation is reflected by average annual growth of 4% in recent years.
Toypes has always championed top quality and design. This, combined with the exacting standards of a team 200 strong, has turned it into a force to be reckoned with. It now has a production centre covering more than 8.000 square metres. It already has brand-stores in La Coruña, Santander, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo and its next two standalones are due to open in Orense and Madrid. Its exports account for 30% of its turnover. Its key markets are Ireland, the USA, Mexico, Britain and Portugal. The firm is regularly represented on Barcelona’s Gaudí Catwalk. It takes part in major international trade fairs including Prêt à Porter in Paris and Fashion Coterie in New York.
