    It was in 1967 that footwear producer Hispanitas first made its entry into foreign markets and began its global expansion, building up a strong position in Europe, the USA and Japan. In 1991, the founder’s sons Luis and Carlos took over the company’s management and created the Hispanitas label in the same year.

    In 1994, the company moved to its current facilities in Petrer, Alicante, and in 1998 launched Escaleno by Hispanitas, a new line in men’s footwear aimed at a contemporary, urban, rather daring consumer seeking comfort and versatility in his footwear.

    The year 2002 saw the launch of new line Paradis by Hispanitas, which brought the latest fashions to its collections, adapting them to the active lifestyles of young, working women, using bold designs and innovative materials.

    The Hispanitas label can now be found in many parts of the world in major markets as diverse as France, the Netherlands, Britain, Belgium, Israel, Australia and Greece, which it has been able to enter as a result of active involvement in top international trade fairs like Micam (Milan), Ffany (New York), the WSA Show (Las Vegas) and GDS (Düsseldorf). Exports already account for 30% of the firm’s total output.
