    Pili Carrera´s interview

    The Pili Carrera group has become a force to be reckoned with in the children’s wear sector, both at home and abroad. The brand has diversified considerably since its creation as a baby knitwear label in the nineteen sixties and its broad product spectrum now encompasses layette, baby, children’s and maternity wear, kids’ cosmetics and décor items, available from a total of 29 standalones and franchisees, as well as multi-brand retailers. All the apparel is produced in Pili Carrera factories, enabling the group to keep a tighter rein on its manufacturing process.

    The brand’s globalisation drive is not a recent phenomenon and 30% of its output is already sold abroad. Portugal, Britain, Japan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are some of its main markets. Reinforcing brand image by opening own-brand stores both in Spain and elsewhere is the cornerstone of firm’s current strategy.
