Her creative vision and business acumen have enabled the firm to find favour with two major targets. Dos Mares is designed for the woman who seeks a refined, sophisticated look to make her feel attractive, whereas Alagua, with its more basic, fun lines, bright colours and daring contrasts appeals to a younger consumer.
Since it was created in 1992, ALAGUA has gone from strength to strength, earning itself an important place in the swimwear stakes and significant coverage in the most prestigious fashion magazines.
Dos Mares Barcelona, which has now extended its business facilities, is renowned for the strict quality controls it imposes on its designs throughout the production process. The result is a product that is guaranteed to meet with the approval of retailer and consumer alike. Seasonal output is in excess of 80,000 garments, sold at 400 outlets all over Spain. Over the last six years, Dos Mares has extended into France, Belgium, Portugal and Japan, markets on which both its collections have proved a hit. Exports now account for 10% of the firm’s output. Dos Mares is a regular at trade fairs including Gaudí and Intima Baño in Barcelona and Mode City in Lyons.
