    Menorca-based footwear group Mesquida y García is behind the Patricia brand name. The company generates direct employment for 60 people plus a further 200 indirect jobs. Patricia was founded in 1971. Since then, the corporate philosophy has been based on meeting market demands with top quality footwear offering maximum comfort.

    This family owned business has centred its business diversification strategy on the Patricia brand name. Today the group also includes the Ptc and Tigrisso footwear names, plus further brands for the production of leatherwear for men and women.

    Annual production stands at more than 300,000 pairs of shoes, 15% of which are sold outside Spain. Europe is the brand’s major market, mainly Portugal, Benelux, Germany, England, Italy and Russia. Shoes are also exported to Asia, principally Japan and Hong Kong, as well as to Southern and Central America.

    In Spain its collections are to be found in a network of around 1000 points of sale, as well as in the firm’s five Menorca stores.
