Caramelo was founded in Galicia more than 40 years ago when it began producing quality waterproof clothing. Soon afterwards, it combined this with the manufacture of three kinds of garments for men: Tommy Harrods trousers, Chelton bomber jackets and Yale shirts. This diversification marked the birth of the Caramelo brand, and its menswear, swiftly followed by womenswear, designs, soon carved out a solid position in the Spanish, and gradually the global, market.
In 2009, the Antonio Pernas brand was incorporated into Caramelo, leading to Caramelo by Antonio Pernas, which now creates formal wear for women.
Today, Caramelo creates fashion for a universal man and woman, aged 35 to 55, who seek quality, elegance and comfort. It reinvents its collections every season, grasping new market challenges and opportunities.
The brand has 800 sales points around the world and is a consolidated name in Spanish fashion. Its ongoing quest for excellence is coupled with a determination to retain its signature practical, elegant designs and the customer focus that make up the Caramelo essence.
