Antonella is the firm behind the Carmen Poveda women’s footwear label, which started out in Elda, Alicante as a family business in 1948. Now a bellwether in its sector, it creates and sells exclusive top-quality designs.
Right from the outset, its aim has been to market premium products adapted to contemporary requirements. It first began by consolidating its domestic market, where it sells the Carmen Poveda, Yves de Beaumond, Isabel Caro and Sandra Martínez labels through multi-brand retailers and department stores. The next step was to venture abroad through exports, which now account for 80% of its turnover. France, with 60%, is its main market, whereas the rest of the European Union, Asia and Africa make up the remaining 40%. Antonella and Carmen Poveda are also regularly represented at major international trade fairs, including Micam in Milan, Modacalzado in Madrid, the Kensington Shoe Event in London and APLF in Hong Kong.
