Nanos produces children’s wear and accessories. It was founded in 1963 to inject some new life into a sector to which it has brought original ideas, shapes and textures, with a personality and style all of its own. Based in La Coruña and firmly in touch with the world of children, the company is a byword for creativity both inside and outside Spain. It takes sole responsibility for choosing fabrics, trying on outfits and designing exclusive accessories to go with them. The same business group also undertakes all the activities involved in design, production and distribution, and works with embroiderers and pattern-cutters who ensure the traditional aspects of the craft are never neglected.
By 1974, Nanos had established its own distribution channels and now has over 30 outlets in Spain, three subsidiaries in Portugal and one in Mexico. It has consolidated its positioning not only by means of a franchise system, both in Spain and abroad, but also by its presence in multi-brand outlets and exclusive corners. In fact, exports account for 10% of its turnover. The main foreign markets for its Karpi and Karpi Básico brands are Portugal, Mexico, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Ireland. Its international policy is backed up by regular attendance at major trade fairs like FIMI.
