Pikolinos was created in 1984 as a footwear brand with an emphasis on quality, but careful to strike a balance between traditional craftsmanship and modernism. Exclusive design, characteristic colour, comfort, perfect finish and an environmentally-friendly approach are the watchwords of its men’s and women’s collections. In fact, Pikolinos is one of a handful of EU companies to have received the European Eco-Label.
Globalisation is one of the strengths of Pikolinos. The brand now sells to more than 50 countries on five continents. Exports account for more than 70% of its sales.
In March 2007, Pikolinos bought the Spanish formal footwear brand Martinelli as part of its diversification plan, in a deal worth €3.5 mill.
