Barrats 1890 is one of Spain's leading names in footwear. This Mallorca-based family Group began with a small men's footwear company. To create top quality footwear combining traditional production methods with primitive mechanised production systems.
The family-run business would later merge with the artisanal firm Mateu Mateu García. This union extended its product ranges to include top quality women's footwear, in line with the rest of its production. Miguel Llompart Servera was at the head of the Company at the time. He promoted designs in keeping with the latest trends, used state-of-the-art technology and paid the traditional attention to detail.
As a result of growing demand, the Company has centralised all its departments in its new facilities situated in Inca. This has allowed for the restructuring of the production process, tremendous possibilities for growth and the creation of systems designed to apply the quality regulations contemplated by EU market integration.
