Spastor is the name of the designer partnership formed by Sergio Pastor Salcedo (Girona, 1975) and Ismael Alcaina Guerrero (Barcelona, 1975). The label came into being in 1995, when the first Spastor collections were presented at MODAFAD in Barcelona. Their top catwalk début came one year later at the Espacio Gaudí Moda Barcelona, where they presented collections from 1996 to 1998.

In 2000 and 2001, Spastor took part in the Cibeles Catwalk in Madrid, and in 2001, received the L’Oreal prize for the best young collection awarded by the Catwalk. In 2002, Spastor teamed up with Kollflex to present its first mini footwear collection.

In 2003 and again in 2004, they returned to the Gaudí Catwalk in Barcelona. Last February, they presented their latest women’s collection entitled “a means to an end”, and in September, their first men’s wear collection, called “kind of man”. They have now become one of the Catwalk’s most innovative men’s wear designers.

Spastor has also taken its collections beyond Spanish borders. In 1998 and 1999, they went on show at Prêt-à-porter and Workshop in Paris. Still in the French capital, they appeared at the Galerie Gilles Peyroulet & Cie. in 2003 and at Espace Hexamo de Paris in 2004. In January 2005, the designer duo took part in Paris Men’s Wear Week.
