Peter Aedo studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Santiago de Chile. On completing his studies he travelled to Europe, and after a period of travel, eventually settled in Barcelona. It is in this city that his true vocation began to materialise, namely fashion design. He later moved to Madrid, where he took over responsibility for the export collections for Induyco (El Corte Inglés) destined for the United States, Europe and Japan.
In 1974, Peter Aedo returned to Barcelona as head of the design department for Fred Perry. Six years later he decided to set up his own company, which he combined with his work designing sportswear collections for the sports firm Puma International. Peter Aedo oversees the production and sales processes of his collections, in order to maintain the high quality of his product lines.
Twice a year , Peter Aedo presents his ready to wear collection at the Gaudí Fashion Show, and his bridal wear and special occasion collections at the Noviaespaña Fair. He has also taken part in various international fairs, including Milanovendemoda or the World Fashion Trade Fair in Osaka. Outside Spain, his designs have been admired at the Meryl Fashion Awards in Venice, the Lisbon World Exhibition, as well as in Kiev, Santo Domingo, Madrid and at the Paris and Geneva Car Shows.
Together with his ready to wear collection, in 1999 Peter Aedo presented his collection of tights, created for the Medias Glory catalogue. Adeo has also designed costumes for films and television. He also designed the uniforms for the hostesses at the Barcelona Exhibition Site, TV3, Porcelanosa, Caixa de Barcelona, Hostess Service, Medias Glory, General Óptica, SEAT, OPEL, etc.
Forty per cent of Peter Aedo's designs are exported, mainly to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Dubai and Lebanon. Apart from his profession, Peter Aedo also devotes a great deal of his time to charity work, organising charity fashion shows for a number of NGOs including Ayuda en Acción, Hospital San Juan de Dios, Bazar S.O.S. and the Maternidad Altagracia de Santo Domingo Trust (Dominican Republic).
Every year, Peter Aedo is invited by the Chilean delegation of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce to present his collections in Santiago de Chile.
