Behind La Casita de Wendy are Inés and Iván, two young designers from Madrid who, in just a short space of time, have joined the select group of leading Spanish designers.
Their clothes are sold all over the world in a number of top stores including Barneys (New York), Baycrews (Tokyo), Ztamptz (Hong Kong), Lamp (Tokyo), Ascenseur (Osaka) and Fenwicks (London).
Their designs stand out thanks to their use of colour, original and imaginative forms, prints, frills, bows, stars and a whole world of images that remind us of story book tales with a splash of reality.
La Casita de Wendy became known on the international scene thanks to the Icelandic artist Björk, who has worn their designs on several occasions in public. The firm's designs feature on the cover of The Wire, the cover of Les Inrockuctibles, in interviews given by the artist for BBC television and during the shooting of the film Dancer in the Dark, for which she won the Palme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
They are currently preparing their Spring-Summer 2004 collection, which they have chosen to call Fairy Tales, and which they will be presenting at the Cibeles Fashion Show in Madrid and during the Paris Fashion Week.
