Juan Antonio López´s interview
Juan Antonio López was born in Elda, in the province of Alicante, in 1970. The son of a family in the footwear business, from an early age he had a keen understanding of footwear design as a means of technical and aesthetic expression. He studied at the Footwear Design School in his home town, and began working with national and international firms and designers whilst still very young.
In 1999 he launched his first very own collection in Barcelona, the city where he has been living for some years now. The collection was made at an exclusive workshop using traditional methods, obtaining a degree of quality that has not gone unnoticed by experts in the sector. Today, his designs are sold in Spain's most exclusive fashion shops, as well as those in other countries such as the United States, England, Australia and Holland.
