Jorge Gómez is the trade name under which the designs of the young designer Manuel Jorge Gómez are sold. This fashion designer was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and from a very early age showed a lively interest in the world of design, probably the result of the influence of his family background: his mother is a well known interior decorator based in the Canary Islands.

Jorge Gómez studied Fashion and Design at several schools in Madrid and went on to open his first outlet in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1990, and which formed part of the family-run design centre. His company took a major step forward in 1992 with the opening of his first Madrid-based workshop, and again in 1994, when he opened his first store in the Spanish capital.

In 1998 he opened a second store in the Canary Islands, situated in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in 2002 he set up a studio in Madrid's chic Salamanca quarter, where he displays previews of his collections for his major clients.

A continued presence at international fashion shows and fairs over the last few years (Prêt-à-Porter, Paris; CPD, Düsseldorf; Madrid's International Fashion Week; the Gaudí Fashion Show, Barcelona, etc.), has enabled the Jorge Gómez company to enjoy considerable growth and expansion on both domestic and international markets, where his creations have been extremely well-received. Jorge Gómez currently has points of sale in Italy, France, Ireland England, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. The result of this expansion is that today Jorge Gómez is one of the smaller Spanish design firms with a strong presence on international markets.
