Davidelfín has become one of the most personalised voices on the Spanish fashion scene. In 2002 he attended Circuit IV, presenting a collection "Openin Nite" for the first time at this event. Two years later the brand name organised a fashion show for Maybelline L’Oréal at the avant-garde event El Laboratorio.
His interest in new art forms has led the company to get involved in a series of cultural initiatives such as art, costume and stage direction, together with Dani Panullo, working on the show “Orden de Aparición” (Order of Appearance), presented at Circuit VII (Barcelona) and the Centre for New Designers (Madrid), in 2003, as well as collaborating with the artist Alicia Framis on the Anti-Dog project for the Helga de Alvear Gallery in Madrid in the same year.
In February 2002 he presented his Autumn-Winter 2002-2003 collection davidelfin#2 at Circuit V. The following season he attended Cibeles for the first time, presenting his Cour des Miracles, a collection inspired by Surrealism and the works of Magritte. His decision to present the models with their faces covered caused a great deal of controversy.
Just six months after this event he received the L'Oreal Award for the Best Young Designer at the Cibeles Fashion Show for his collection entitled In Loving Memory, in which the provocative nature of this young designer once again came to the fore with his constant references to death.
In 2003, the firm took part in the exhibition entitled Tras el espejo. Moda española, (Behind the Mirror. Spanish Fashion" at the prestigious Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
