Spanish companies, which account for 52 brands, have one of the strongest showings.
From February 24 to 27, the CPM trade fair, Collection Premiere Moscow, will be holding its 14th edition at the Krasnaya Presnaya Expocentr, where more than 1,200 brands from 34 countries will be presenting autumn-winter 2010/11 collections.
After seven years, CPM has consolidated its position as a genuine showcase and trade platform for the Russian and Eastern European markets. The tradeshow has grown over the years and added new exhibition areas to cover every thinkable fashion segment, from women’s, men’s and children’s wear to bridal, underwear - swimwear, footwear and leather goods.
The number of Spanish exhibitors has remained constant since 2009, when the exhibition experienced its lowest figures. The organisers see this edition as a turning point and believe that exhibitor and visitor figures are likely to return to pre-2009 levels.
Spain will take part with 29 companies representing 52 brands between them. These include Sita Murt, Escorpión, Jota+Ge, Luis Civit, Dikton’s, Caramelo, TMX and Alba Conde in womenswear; Mayoral, Losán, Bóboli, Garvalin and Chavi in children’s wear and footwear and Lola Casademunt in accessories. Bóboli and Mayoral will be taking part in a joint catwalk organised at the event.
Russia is still a high-potential market for Spanish companies in the fashion sector despite a drop in consumption. In the first nine months of 2009, Spain exported fashion products to Russia worth €119 million, all down on the same period for the previous year.
