The knitwear specialist opens its first flagship store outside Spain in the Marais district.
Sita Murt is getting ready to open its first shop in Paris, in the district of Upper Marais, the place to go for the French capital's most vibrant artistic and bohemian activities. The flagship store will be located near the Picasso Museum and the Yvon Lambert art gallery.
The atmosphere in this neighbourhood, which combines true Parisian chic with intense creative activity, is the perfect match for its brand values and the style of its collections.
The boutique marks a new growth strategy which aims to consolidate the Sita Murt image and its presence in the French market. In 2009, the company set up a branch in Paris which will run both this project and two retail corners in the famous French department store Galeries Lafayette.
The company now has 20 of her own shops in Spain.
Footwear signed by Sita Murt
On Monday 23 February 2010, the company will be presenting her autumn/winter 2010/11 collection at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week. The catwalk show will also mark the debut of the company's new line in footwear, which draws on male-style moulds, and will round off the inner female universe that inspires the eponymus designer's womenswear collection.
Knitwear is the special strength of the designer who created the company in Barcelona back in 1984. Her cutting-edge approach and hard work soon led her to international recognition. Avant-garde silhouettes, combined with craftsmanship based on quality have turned the brand into a wardrobe mainstay for many.
