The chain’s first accessory shop is in the exclusive Antara Polanco mall in Mexico City.
Ten days ago, Uterqüe, the Inditex accessories chain, opened its first shop in Mexico, in the exclusive Antara Polanco shopping centre in Mexico City. The new opening takes the brand total to 51 shops around the world.
The shop opening was the ideal place for Uterqüe to present its new party collection, with bracelets and bangles in geometric shapes, “bib” necklaces and satin and velvet stilettos.
In Mexico, the Inditex group has 192 shops: Zara (48), Bershka (41), Pull and Bear (32), Oysho (29), Massimo Dutti (28) and Zara Home (13). Zara, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear and Zara Home already operate in the Antara Polanco mall.
Inditex recently released its figures for the first nine months of 2009, when global sales rose to €7.759 billion, up 8% on the same period last year, after compensating for exchange rate differences. If exchange rates had remained constant, the latest figures would have meant an increase of 6%.
Uterqüe already has shops in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Cyprus, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
