Neck & Neck celebrates an excellent year

The Spanish childrenswear brand tops off the celebration of its tenth anniversary with new openings and worldwide recognition.

The Spanish childrenswear brand Neck & Neck could not have had a better year for the celebration of its tenth anniversary. To their unstoppable rise in openings, both on a national and international scale, the company can now add the prize of the Spanish franchise with the best international profile.

Neck & Neck began 2008 with six new openings in Sagunto, Menorca, Chiclana, Barcelona, Madrid, and Ceuta. But these openings within Spain were only the start of a long list which has, since that moment, extended to an international level. Thus, they have added to their already extensive network of stores with two branches in Italy (Rome and Catania), two in Mexico (Morelia and Interlomas), two in Portugal (Vilamoura and Guimaraes), two in France (Paris y Bordeaux), and one in London.

With all these new projects, it seems that in 2008 the brand will surpass its turnover figures for last year, which reached some 40 million euros. Neck & Neck currently boasts more than 220 points of sale, 54 of those abroad.

The icing on the cake
The crowning glory on a year full of successes has been winning the prize for the Spanish brand with the best international profile in the recent edition of the Salón de la Franquicia (Sif&Co), which took place between 23 and 25 October in Valencia. 

But the acknowledgements do not stop there: the prestigious Harvard University chose the company for the development of one of their case studies, which converts the brand into a model business for students of general management, planning, and business management and strategy courses. The important expansion process which the company is currently experiencing, the sector in which it operates, the brand's effective loyalty club, and the organization of the marketing department, were some of the reasons why Neck & Neck was chosen for the project.
