The Spanish fashion label opens its first standalone boutique just a stone’s throw away from Paseo de Gracia.
Having been present in Barcelona for over half a century, the ladies’ fashion label Naulover has recently opened its first standalone boutique in the city. Just off Paseo de Gracia, the Spanish company has invested half a million euros in this new shop with an area of 130sqm.
The décor of this new retail space, which was designed by Italian architect Luca Lancini, is reminiscent of the majestic properties of Barcelona’s Eixample, and will take the visitor back to the firm’s early days in the fashion world at the beginning of the XX century.
Inside, the shop has two distinct atmospheres and offers a carefully selected range of the label’s fashion and accessories collections, as well as the new Nau Sport line for younger customers. Upstairs, as well as receiving a bit of fashion advice, customers can relax with a glass of cava after a long day’s shopping.
According to the firm’s manager, Carme Noguera, “This first shop marks the beginning of a new business strategy based on direct contact with customers who value our high-quality products”. The new project will focus on standalone sale points that will complement the firm’s regular distribution network, which currently consists of more than 90 corners in El Corte Inglés centres and 600 POS in multi-brand stores.
As part of an ambitious expansion plan, Naulover has also invested €3m in a new 3000 m2 logistics plant in Mediona, Catalonia. This new operations centre is set to start functioning with the production and distribution of the firm’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
The brand’s expansion will also include growth in the international market, where it is currently present in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Scandinavia, Lebanon, Canada, the United States and South America.
Ever since it started out, Naulover has been designing and producing its clothes and accessories at its own factory in Catalonia’s Alto Penedés. It has a logistics platform occupying some 9000sqm, 170 workers and an expected turnover of €18m for 2012.
