The German car maker is now the main sponsor of Spain’s leading fashion show.
Coinciding with its 55th edition, which will take place from February 1st to 5th, Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week has changed its name to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
With this new alliance, the Spanish platform consolidates its place on the map of top international fashion shows, and the German car maker strengthens its ties with fashion and emerging trends in the Spanish market, as it has also been doing at other important events such as those in New York, Berlin and Moscow.
It was the satisfactory results obtained by Mercedes-Benz at the last edition of the fashion show, held in September 2011, which opened the way for it to become the event’s main sponsor. More than 50,000 people visited the last edition of the Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, confirming its leadership, after 54 editions, in the world of Spanish fashion design.
Aristrocrazy makes its début on the catwalk
The change in dates in order to avoid it coinciding with other international fashion shows will not be the only difference at the first edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Adolfo Domínguez will be absent from the catwalk this time around, as it opts instead to concentrate on its international development. But the departure of some will mark the arrival of others... One of the newcomers will be Aristocrazy, the most street-style line of the Spanish luxury jewellery group, Suárez, which will be presented on the catwalk as a brand in itself at 7:30 pm on Friday, February 3rd.
With a powerful collection that will leave no-one unmoved and a spectacularly original mise en scène, Aristocrazy intends to make its mark in its début on the Madrid catwalk.
