MNG by Mango arrives at JCPenney department stores

The Spanish fashion brand is becoming part of the exclusive women’s fashions offered at department stores in the United States.

MNG by Mango has just reached an exclusivity agreement with one of the United States's retail leaders, JCPenney.

As a result of this partnership, Mango will have specialised shops within the department stores and the central element of new commercial spaces, in addition to being the star product of JCPenney’s offering for the upcoming autumn/winter 10/11 season. The new spaces covers an area of approximately 100 sq m and form part of the meticulous selection of women’s clothing brands that JCPenney markets exclusively in its stores.

The collection combines garments featuring rich textures including tweed and corduroy with sheer silks, boho-inspired pieces and original colour sets that vary from camel to navy blue and grey. It offers American consumers the Spanish brand’s best casual fashions and accessories. This collection will be available at the 77 JCPenney stores, in addition to its e-shop www.jcp.com, one of the largest internet commerce platforms in the women’s fashion market.

With this launch, Mango is strengthening its position in the US, where it now has 12 points-of-sale. Thanks to its presence at JCPenney, it aims to have 300 points-of-sale by spring 2011 and 600 before autumn of the following year. The brand is currently present in 100 countries on five different continents, boasting a total of 1,500 shops and an international turnover volume of 78%.
