Custo Barcelona, otoño-invierno 2010/11

Custo, Trías, Francesc and Davidelfin return to New York

08/26/2010

From its new stage at the Lincoln Center, New York Fashion Week will present the Spring/Summer 2011 collections from 9 to 16 September.

New York Fashion Week is bidding farewell to the now mythical tents of Bryant Park. Since 1993, Bryant Park had been the official home of this fashion show, which turns the Big Apple into the epicentre of fashion trends.

From its new location at the Lincoln Center complex, the event will feature the collections for the Spring/Summer 2011 season from 9 to 16 September. As usual, Custo Barcelona, Davidelfin, Toni Francesc and Joaquín Trías will add the Spanish touch to this world-renowned show.

The first Spaniard to take to the runway will be Joaquín Trías. At 5:00pm on 12 September at The Studio of the Lincoln Center, he will present his third collection, which will undoubtedly stay true to that prêt-à-porter with an haute couture price tag that has made it possible for him to savour the sweet taste of international recognition.

Just two hours later, at 7:00pm, Custo Dalmau will flood the catwalk of the Metropolitan Opera House and American Ballet Theatre with his characteristic patchwork and prints based on geometric shapes and figurative graphics. As could be seen at the Berlin fair, Bread & Butter, the Spanish company’s spring palette varies between soft, powdered shades and bronze. Denim takes centre stage in the relaxed and urban looks.

Two days later, on 14 September at 9:00pm, Toni Francesc will present his collection, Urban Forest, at The Studio. Wood is the symbol of a collection that alternates coarse, enveloping shapes with clean volumes and soft, straight lines. This is the third time that Francesc will participate in New York Fashion Week.

And for the fourth season in a row, on 16 September at 1:00pm, Davidelfin’s multi-disciplinary and iconoclastic creative team will present its Spring/Summer 2011 collection at The Studio.
